It’s hard to believe we are in the final stretch of 2020! What a dramatic year it has been for all! We will however be entering the holiday season before you know it, it’s 2021 and hopefully a much better year. Take advantage of the super pandemic liquidation sales going on now!
In the spirit of the forthcoming new year, the family at Oriental Rug Bazaar is motivated and offering exceptional prices as well as professional sanitizing services for your existing rugs during this critical era with an extra 10% savings.
Owner Mike Dabiri has operated Oriental Rug Bazaar’s two-story location across from Ruth Eckerd Hall for 30 years with the help of his family. He greets customers warmly and shares stories as rich in detail as the rugs of all sizes in his showroom.
One century-old tapestry, for instance, imparts a lesson from Rumi on how kindness and justice wield more personal power than monetary wealth. Dabiri said he echoes this sentiment by putting his customers first.
“We are like a museum,” he effused. Dabiri also explained the difference between handmade and manufactured pieces, as well as why some are so richly colored and intricately woven that they can cost up to $20,000.
But if a masterwork isn’t in your budget, Oriental Rug Bazaar also stocks quality manufactured rugs as low as $200. Unlike corporate retailers, Dabiri cuts out the middleman and imports directly from quality vendors all over the world.
Whether 20 years old or 200, all of the handmade rugs at Oriental Rug Bazaar are created with a silk, wool or combination that is highly durable. “These rugs are meant to be walked on,” Dabiri said cheerfully. “They’re also very easy to clean.”
A professional interior designer and rug expert, Gita Dabiri, Mike’s daughter, helps clients choose the right rug for their space at no extra charge. Purchases also include a certificate of authenticity, free cleanup for up to a year and a try at home trial period.
If you already own a Persian rug and wish to know its worth, detailed appraisals are available at a fair price. Off hours, the Dabiri family also offers the showroom for events, including fundraisers for nonprofits, earmarking proceeds from referred sales to the charity.
Selling more than 5,000 rugs in any size or shape, Oriental Rug Bazaar is a one-stop shop for decorative runners, squares, rounds, ovals, Kilims and more.
